Yellow Door Learning Centre

The Yellow Door Learning Centre is a creative community resource centre located at 6 St. Joseph Street in the Historic Yonge region of Toronto just south of Bloor between Yonge and Bay.

It's a warm, dynamic environment where all are welcome to participate in a unique experience in a community fostering compassion, creativity and community.

We offer daily Art Classes, Wellness Courses and Life Skills Programs including yoga, nutrition, poetry, dance, meditation and storytelling.

Programs attract participants from the surrounding community and neighborhoods as well as individuals at a crossroads in life looking for a compassionate, creative environment to take next steps.

Popular Art Programs this semester include Clay Sculpture Workshop on Wednesdays with Linda Utting, Abstract Painting on Thursdays with Marguerita Citron, Learning to Draw & Paint on Thursday afternoons with Dan Buckley and of course Breathlines on Fridays with Laurie Edwards.

Participants produce beautiful works of art and sculpture which are displayed throughout the house. Budding artists feel enormous pride in the creation process while the increased self-esteem spurs them on through life's daily challenges.
